The largest federal employee union, the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), and members of Congress are organizing a Rally to Save the Civil Service this Tuesday (2/11) at noon ET on Capitol Hill. It is critically important that you stand with your colleagues and millions of Americans across D.C. and the nation to save not only the civil service, but America itself - by shutting down the coup currently being perpetrated by Elon Musk and his so-called Department of Government Efficiency This shadowy entity has taken control of U.S. systems including those of the Treasury, CFPB, Department of Education, and NOAA, compromising the Social Security Numbers of all taxpayers and our national security. This past Friday, members of the House sought to enter the Department of Education to exercise their oversight powers and responsibilities granted by the Constitution - they were denied entry by a non-descript man claiming to be a department employee, as well as armed Department of Homeland Security officers behind the closed doors. Previously, a private security guard some have identified as belonging to a rebranded form of Blackwater private military company barred Congress members from the Treasury. Elsewhere, Musk, J.D. Vance, and other associates have insinuated that federal court orders impeding their agenda should be ignored. These are deeply disturbing developments and the lack of a decisive and substantive response from Congress may prove fatal. Please end this constitutional crisis before it goes any further by making a show of unity, opposition, and strength.
