Dear “Representative”,
In the past 48 hours, gas prices in Indiana rose $0.84 per gallon — a direct consequence of U.S. military engagement in Iran. I am asking you to explain to your constituents what American interest justifies this cost.
This conflict is driving record profits for oil companies while working families absorb the shock. That is not a coincidence — it is a structural outcome of a war fought in a region where the primary beneficiaries are energy corporations, not American citizens.
Meanwhile, the United States continues to export domestically produced oil, leaving Hoosiers to pay internationally spiked prices for fuel we help produce.
There is no coherent national interest argument that justifies this arrangement.
The economic damage from sustained elevated energy prices is not theoretical.
Inflation, supply chain costs, and household budget strain are real and measurable.
We are not asking for charity — we are asking you to stop authorizing and funding a conflict that is actively harming the people you represent.
I am asking you to:
1. Oppose further military escalation in Iran
2. Support export restrictions on domestically produced oil during declared energy price emergencies
3. Publicly account for the
economic cost this conflict is placing on Indiana families
Your constituents are watching.
Respectfully,
