Clean Air and Water Shouldn’t Be Up for Debate
To: Rep. Bergman
From: A verified voter in Marquette, MI
April 19
Clean water and public health should never be politicized. In Michigan, we’ve seen the lifelong damage caused by lead contamination and failing infrastructure. That’s why it’s so alarming to see efforts to dismantle EPA protections and halt the lead pipe replacement program.
The Yoop is our slice of paradise—defined by clean water and natural beauty. But all of it is at risk if we undermine the critical work the EPA is doing right now: replacing lead pipes, reducing toxic emissions, and protecting the waters and landscapes we rely on.
This isn’t about federal overreach. It’s about protecting families, saving long-term costs, and preserving the very resources that make our region livable and proud. I urge you to reject Lee Zeldin’s anti-environment agenda and defend the EPA’s mission to safeguard our communities.
