Representative Seth Moulton must resign from office following his remarks about transgender Americans. In a time when attacks on the LGBTQ+ community are rapidly increasing and sure to spike in the new year, the people of Massachusetts cannot tolerate blatant transphobia from their elected officials. We must not throw our most vulnerable friends, family, and neighbors under the bus out of fear and frustration. We are better than this. Seth Moulton has proven he is not better than this. By referring to young trans women and girls as male, and by blaming Democratic losses in government on support for transgender citizens, he has shown his true colors, and they are not blue. Massachusetts has the opportunity to make a decisive stand against conservative federal overreach in the coming years. We cannot do that with someone like Seth Moulton at the helm.
