No federal overreach through military action in California.

To: Sen. Ricketts, Sen. Fischer, Rep. Bacon

From: A verified voter in Valley, NE

June 11

The moves against the state of California are concerning on many levels. States have rights to govern their people as they see fit. The move to send in the National Guard and the military infringes on the rights of California. Their governing agencies have said that there is no emergency. They do not need help. This means that any move by the federal government is an over reach of power. The federal government should never supersede the authority of the states unless there is a request from the agencies involved. This is a slippery slope. How will you stand to show Nebraskans that you will protect our rights to make the decisions that are the best for our community? How will you show us that our Governor and our state legislature are valid governing bodies? If you wish to send the message to Nebraskans that our state government is sacred, you will also stand with the state government of California. You need to speak up for California and for Nebraska and the other states. Federal action should be invite only and the rights of states needs to be protected.
