STOP TRUMP’S ENABLING OF PUTIN TO ATTACK EUROPE. BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

Anybody worried about this scenario? On Wednesday, our president talked to Putin for an hour and a half. Evidently the twelfth phone call between them since Trump took office this time. And then just hours later posted about removing US troops from Germany. Putin must be popping champagnes corks about now. So now European officials worry that Putin is making plans to attack a NATO country. Then on Thursday, Trump suggested to reporters that he might also pull troops out of Spain and Italy, “Why shouldn’t I?” he said. “Italy has not been of any help to us. And Spain has been horrible. Absolutely horrible.” On Friday the Defense Department said it was pulling 5,000 troops from Germany. And cancelling a Biden administration plan to put an artillery unit equipped with missiles in Europe. Trump’s moves will take US forces back to where they were before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As scholar of authoritarianism Timothy Snyder wrote: “You can apply lots of normalizing frameworks or you can just make a timeline of his calls with Putin. We don’t have a sovereign foreign policy. We have superpower suicide.” Looks like some sort of Death Star plan taking shape don’t you think? The slicing and dicing of global domination by our prez and his best bud? What will we do if Russia attacks a NATO ally? Let’s make a prediction…Trump will walk away saying they deserve it. The world will be on fire. And he will go back to his ballroom design, golf course seizing, and constructing monuments to himself to try and convince future generations he was a beloved president. Wake up. It’s your job to stop this kind of crazy.
