As your constituent, I urge you to support H.Con.Res. 38 to reassert Congress’s constitutional authority over war powers. Reports indicate that the strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities failed to destroy the intended targets. That means we risked triggering a regional war without even accomplishing the mission — and without congressional approval. This resolution doesn’t prevent necessary action. It ensures that decisions of this magnitude are debated and authorized by the branch of government the Constitution entrusted with that power.
