Raise the age

To: Sen. Creem

From: A constituent in Newton Highlands, MA

July 11

As the Senate debates the Economic Development bill, I ask that you vote “Yes” on amendment #474 which would end the automatic prosecution of 18-year-olds as adults. Subjecting older teens to adult prosecution, CORI records and adult incarceration causes significant harm not only to the teens themselves but to our economy which is desperate for more - not less - young people to engage in our economy. Please see the amendment fact sheet at https://tinyurl.com/RtA474.
