I’m writing to urge your support for Rep. Abigail Salisbury's legis lation prohibiting 287(g) agreements between local law enforcement and ICE, and your support for Rep. Chris Pielli's bill to prevent municipalities from using state funding to support ICE. These are both a gross inflation of issues and a serious misuse of local authorities and resources. Beyond this, ICE must be abolished. The atrocities we have seen in Minneapolis of ICE agents EXECUTING US Citizens and using deadly force to silence peaceful dissent is a clear violation of the constitutional rights afforded by the 2nd, 4th, 8th, and 14th amendment. Failure to admit this shows a forgotten humanity. How otherwise can one tolerate or cheer the killing of mothers and nurses, violence against children and veterans, and the continued existence of that agency?
