I'm calling to urge you to push for the adoption of rules to release senators who are no longer fit to serve their constituents. The recent treatment of Senator Mitch McConnell has highlighted how political goals take priority over that of care for those that need it. Senator McConnell was in no condition to stay in office and cast votes where he clearly wasn’t able to articulate his intentions. We need new rules on when a sitting Senator should be released from their office for their respective state to either appoint or elect their replacement.
