Stop Illegal and Inhumane Actions in Venezuela

To: Sen. Coons, Rep. McBride, Sen. Blunt Rochester

From: A constituent in Claymont, DE

January 6

I am outraged by the recent U.S. military operation in Venezuela, celebrated by President Trump, which abducted President Nicolás Maduro and killed dozens of soldiers. This reckless act violates international law, tramples on Venezuelan sovereignty, and has led to grave human rights abuses—including extrajudicial killings and civilian harm. Such actions undermine America’s credibility, destabilize an already fragile region, and worsen a humanitarian crisis affecting millions. Congress must act now to: - Investigate and hold accountable those responsible. - Reaffirm our commitment to human rights and international law. - Prevent further military escalation and prioritize diplomacy and humanitarian aid. The United States should lead with justice, not lawlessness. I implore you to loudly condemn these actions and ensure they never happen again.
