Support H.R. 2548, Uphold Georgia's Sovereignty Against Russia

To: Sen. Blumenthal, Sen. Murphy, Rep. Larson

From: A verified voter in Manchester, CT

May 8, 2025

Support for H.R. 2548 bolsters Georgian sovereignty, imposes stringent sanctions on Russia for its continued occupation of Georgia's territories, and reaffirms U.S. commitment to Ukraine against Russian aggression. This bipartisan legislation upholds Georgia's territorial integrity, calls for robust sanctions against Russia until withdrawal from Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia, and demonstrates unwavering U.S. solidarity with Ukraine in face of Russia's violations of international law and democratic norms. Passing this bill promotes democratic values, deters Russian aggression in the region, and ensures stability through steadfast support for Georgia and Ukraine against illegal occupations.
