Vote Against H. J. Res. 140

To: Sen. Cruz, Rep. Roy, Sen. Cornyn

From: A constituent in Austin, TX

February 23

As descendants of Theodore Roosevelt urged in a letter to Congress on February 6, we recommend that all Senators vote against H.J. Res. 140, and “send a unified message that America is still a land that relentlessly protects its wilderness terrain”. As they point out, copper mining in this area would “deal a crushing blow to a great rural economy” and set a terrible precedent.
