I’m writing as a Texas constituent to express my strong opposition to the confirmation of Emil Bove to the federal bench. This nominee has shown open contempt for the rule of law — allegedly instructing DOJ officials to defy court orders, firing career prosecutors working on January 6th cases, and undermining the Justice Department’s integrity for political gain. This is not someone who should be given a lifetime seat on the federal bench. I’m also deeply disturbed by how today’s committee proceedings were handled. Blocking whistleblower testimony and pushing through a vote after Democratic members walked out is not representative government — it’s a power grab. I feel like I’m watching the death of representative democracy in real time. This process is broken, and the nominee is dangerous. Please do not vote to confirm Emil Bove.
