Ceasefire for peace
To: V.P. Harris
From: A constituent in Brookline, NH
August 21
Americans demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza! Enough bloodshed against innocent Palestinians especially children. As a longtime Democrat, I am unsure of how I will vote in November. I do not feel heard as thousands of Americans such as myself have spoken out against this brutal genocide. Infants have been left to die in incubators by the IDF, soldiers are targeting children with gunshots to the temples, mass graves have been uncovered and rape of Palestinian hostages is widespread. Violence in the West Bank at the hands of illegal settlers is rampant and overlooked. Palestinian land is being sold illegally in the US. The US must immediately halt all aid and weapons to Israel which is clearly committing genocide and a myriad of other war crimes. Investigations must be conducted immediately into such crimes against humanity. Are Palestinian lives not important? Where is our morality?
Voters have demanded a ceasefire for months as our own citizens struggle to make ends meet. I am disappointed in this administration and fear for the consequences of our actions come November. Is Israel worth our democracy?
