Vote no on the big, beautiful bill!
To: Sen. Banks, Sen. Young

I am writing out of grave concern for the harm that our country will face if this reconciliation bill is passed by the Senate. Its proposed cuts to key programs that save lives and improve the health of millions is unethical and morally wrong! To take from these programs to pay for tax cuts to the richest in our country is absolutely unacceptable. We cannot extend tax cuts that will bankrupt our country both monetarily and morally! Furthermore, the harm it does to environmental protections and sustainability efforts is disgraceful. It is clear from scientific data that these protections are important to save human lives, the animals that are important to our ecosystems, and the planet as a whole. We only have one habitable planet for our species and we are destroying it for future generations. None of us truly want to live in a country or world that is as unaffordable, unlivable, and unsafe.
This bill will strip millions of the healthcare and food safety nets that allow them to have adequate healthcare and proper nutrition. We cannot take from these programs least of us to give to the richest among us. Have a heart and show some empathy. Vote no on this reconciliation bill! If you choose to vote yes you better believe you will stir up the people and we will vote you out of office. Cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, snap, and other important programs to give tax cuts to the rich is an attack on the working class that put you in office!
