Subsidizing the insurance industry is not the solution to Americans' healthcare problems. The insurance sponsored health care system has reached a breaking point. Americans cannot afford insurance. At the same time that our taxes pay for the best health care system in the world, it cannot be delivered to Americans. Insurance drains most of the money out of the health care system. Americans are some of the least healthy civilized people in the world. We are not getting the healthcare that we pay for. That is why insurance companies must be eliminated, or reduced in scope. Let people pay for insurance for elective surgery. Then those that can afford it will get what they want. In the meantime the government money that is spent on insurance should be spent on Medicare for All. Let all Americans benefit from basic healthcare. Including dental and vision! Therefore I'm asking you to eliminate the pretense of government subsidies of the ACA. Instead institute Medicare for all. ( Not Medicare Advantage!) It's not perfect. There will need to be adjustments. But the Medicare system is available now to give people health care NOW.
