Right now there are immigrants and elderly people in Los Angeles being evicted because of the LA Olympics. The landlords want to make these units into air bnbs. They are able to do this using the Ellis act. We need to get rid of the Ellis act and help vulnerable renters not end up on the street so that landlords can make a bigger profit.
