I hope to heck that you oppose S. 5653, the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act, in its current form. It's a shit sandwich; maybe some tasty bread covering up the filling a bit. The disgusting "filling" includes: The rollback of Section 106 historic preservation review and Tribal consultation, (and) “project certainty” provisions that lock in permits even when they’re unlawful, (and) taxpayer-funded payouts to developers, (and) limits on courts’ ability to stop unlawful projects, (and) cuts to the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act, (and) giveaways of public lands to mining and drilling companies. Grid reform shouldn’t come at the cost of our public lands, clean water, and communities’ right to be heard. Thank you. [H/T 5 Calls]
