I write because I’m no longer living the country I grew up in. I write because I had plans to go away this weekend. To travel, and I fear I shouldn’t because of fear of my Federal Government. The one I paid taxes to my whole life. The one my grandfather put his life on the line for in a world war. The one my grandmother gave up her life here to assist in occupying Germany. Today, I as a white man, fear that if I leave my Hispanic kids with my Hispanic sister-in-law to travel with my wife, they might not be here when I get back. That’s not America. Thank you for your service representing this country. You don’t represent the one I grew up in.
