Remove Flock Camera Surveillance Systems From Our Community

To: Sen. Eckhardt, Rep. Cole

From: A constituent in Manor, TX

August 1

Remove the Flock camera network from our community. These license plate readers track the movements of every resident, building a searchable database of where we go, when, and how often — without a warrant, without consent, and without meaningful oversight. That is not public safety. That is mass surveillance. Flock cameras don't just capture criminals. They capture everyone. Every trip to a doctor, a place of worship, a protest, or a friend's house is logged and stored. Local law enforcement can query that data, and in many cases so can outside agencies. Residents never agreed to be monitored this way, and most don't even know it's happening. Take these cameras down and reject any future contracts with Flock Safety or similar surveillance vendors.
