I am writing with deep concern about the fatal shooting involving ICE agents in Minneapolis today. Multiple eyewitness accounts and publicly circulating videos raise serious questions about the use of lethal force during this encounter. While the full facts must be established through investigation, the circumstances as reported warrant immediate and independent review. I urge you to call for a transparent investigation, including preservation and public release of all body camera footage and relevant agency communications. I also ask that you support congressional oversight of ICE’s enforcement practices and use-of-force standards to ensure civilian safety and accountability. Regardless of political affiliation, federal law enforcement must operate with restraint, transparency, and meaningful oversight. Public trust depends on it.
