Abolish ICE
To: Gov. Beshear
From: A constituent in Lexington, KY
February 3
I'm writing to tell you how disappointed I am. This isn't something I take lightly either. We've been championing your causes for years now and then you betray us. ICE does not need to be retrained, ICE needs to be abolished. By suggesting the retraining of our country's Gestapo you have endorsed their function. As in you don't like the way they do things but you do like them around. I would imagine many of your constituents feel differently. I'm not even a target for ICE (unless Robert Kennedy gets his way) and I cannot tell you how disruptive and scared people in Lexington are. I believe we've lost about a thousand people to them currently. I don't mean they've been shot and killed but they're gone. ( I do wonder how many of them have been shot, beaten, or killed.) I think this is a tune you need to change. Kentucky needs you to change it. I cannot in good conscience vote for you ever again. My vote might not mean much to you but that's okay. At this point you don't mean much to me.
