As a constituent with a chronic illness causing me to be homebound, I'm very concerned about the "SAVE" voter suppression bill passed by the House.
It's difficult for me to keep up with a current ID because going out makes my illness flare. Right now I don't have any current ID at all, though I do have an appointment at the DOL.
I'm postponing overdue vision exams and cancer screening to attend the appointment for ID.
I know there are other people with circumstances like mine, and still more with other circumstances making keeping up with ID difficult.
I also rely on mail ballots continuing to be available and counted.
I know I can count on your support on opposing voter suppression and unconstitutional poll taxes.
But I wanted to share my story to emphasize why it's essential.
