Block the Trump administration's earnings accountability rule before it strips federal loan access from social work, teaching, and other essential degree programs. Starting as early as 2028-29, programs whose graduates don't out-earn high school diploma holders could lose Direct Loan eligibility entirely — not because the education lacks value, but because wages in these fields are set by employers and public budgets, not by the schools themselves.
Social workers, teachers, and community health professionals are exactly who struggling neighborhoods need. Tying loan access to post-graduation salaries punishes students for choosing careers that pay less because society underfunds them, not because the degrees are worthless. A rule like this doesn't fix low wages or high tuition — it just closes the door on people trying to serve their communities. Fight to repeal or block this rule now.
