H.R. 5414- Improving Mental Health Access from the Emergency Department Act ‘23

To: Sen. Vance, Rep. Turner, Sen. Brown

From: A constituent in Englewood, OH

March 18, 2024

Having access to follow-up mental health care is key to lowering the risk to repeat trips to the hospital. Appropriate follow-up will allow for further assessments and adjustment to treatments. Many times, individuals need extra support in order to transition back home and to work or school. It is imperative that this bill is passed, because emergency rooms and patients will have access to follow-up mental health care through grant funding. Too many individuals go untreated and unmedicated, because of not having access to this care. Please vote FOR this bill, too many people are suffering.
