I’m writing with strong objection to the recently proposed OMB ruling “Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance”. This ruling, if approved, would break science in this country and put us at risk of losing brilliant scientists to other countries, stop exciting developments like the new pancreatic cancer drug, and put science decisions in the hands of unqualified government representatives. My cousin is fighting for survival from pancreatic cancer right now. My sister has survived stage 3B breast cancer because of life saving drugs - if this OMB ruling had been in place before she might not be alive today. Stop this ruling from taking effect, as lives depend on it.
