Turn the North State Blue? A UC in Redding is the Answer

I live in Redding, Shasta County and we could really use a UC up here in the top third of the state. It would go a long way to having a more educated populous in this rural region. A medical emphasis would be much needed up here. Also, natural resources studies would be a good fit considering all of the timber, water, minerals, and tourism resources we have in abundance. In addition, it could potentially change the political demographics to lean more blue. Please put some serious consideration into placing a UC in Redding. We need it to bring this part of the state into the modern era.
