Please do not vote for the proposed cuts to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. PBS and NPR have been the backbone for free education and entertainment programming for 50+years. Unfortunately Republican politicians have politicized these institutions for their news reporting, which is a very small portion of their programming. The reporting is based on facts and demands accountability, which challenges Republican and conservative views. Just because it doesn’t 100% align with your propaganda, doesn’t mean it isn’t true and worthwhile commentary. It also speaks to the Republican ideas that an uneducated society will keep you in power, which is selfish and out of touch. To be an elite country, we need to invest in education, history (not white washed), and fair, honest representation.
