An Open Letter

To: Sen. McConnell, Sen. Paul, Rep. Comer

From: A verified voter in Russell Springs, KY

June 29

As your constituent I am telling you to vote no on this big awful bill that will harm us in multiple ways. Kentuckians rely on Medicaid, SNAP, LiHEAP and other programs just to survive. I am a disabled 60 year old taking care of my 12 year old grandchild alone that cannot survive without them. If you take them away, increase the level of requirements/qualifications or reduce their benefits, I will not survive. My health will fail and I will be unable to care for myself and my granddaughter will be cared for by the state. I realize that you probably do not care but I want you to be aware of what you will cause if you allow this bill to proceed. There are another 100 reasons not to pass this bill, like selling our public lands and giving future presidents free rein to disregard court orders and such. Please please please don’t pass this bill! Don’t allow everything we’ve worked for for 250 years to be dismantled in one stroke of a pen. PLEASE!
