# Support HJR122 to Restore Democracy by Regulating Campaign Finance I'm asking you to co-sponsor and vote yes on HJR122, the constitutional amendment that would give Congress and the states clear authority to regulate campaign contributions and expenditures and establish public financing for elections. Our current system lets unlimited money drown out ordinary voices. Since Citizens United, outside spending in federal elections has exploded, and wealthy donors and corporations have outsized influence over who runs and what policies get passed. This amendment would finally allow us to set reasonable limits on campaign spending and create public financing systems so candidates can run without being beholden to big donors. HJR122 doesn't pick winners or silence anyone. It simply restores the authority to enact commonsense rules that prevent corruption and give everyday people a fair shot at being heard. When money equals speech without limits, those of us without millions get drowned out. This is about whether our democracy works for all of us or just those who can write the biggest checks.
