Published reports indicate the Texas legislature is set on advancing school voucher programs across the Lone Star state. Please understand, Texans do not want to pay higher taxes to support this effort. Presently, vouchers would be funded largely by county property taxes. I am here to say, we taxpayers are not interested in one-penny going toward voucher programs or in having our taxes raised to fund these schools. I am urging you to speak out against taxpayer funded vouchers and vote ‘no’ should it come up for a vote. Thank you for your kind consideration and I do look forward to your response.
