Oppose U.S. Involvement in Iran and Support War Powers Resolutions
To: Rep. James
From: A constituent in Rochester Hills, MI
March 9
I am a constituent from Rochester Hills, Michigan, writing to urge you to oppose any expansion of U.S. military involvement with Iran.
Congress must exercise its constitutional authority over war powers and work to avoid another potentially long and costly military conflict in the Middle East. Military escalation would put American service members and international civilians at risk and could further destabilize the region.
I also urge you to prioritize diplomacy and de-escalation in U.S. policy toward Iran. Additionally, if investigations into reported civilian casualties — including the incident involving the girls’ school in Minab — determine that the United States bears responsibility, I strongly urge you to support full transparency and accountability. Civilian lives must be protected, and any loss of innocent life should be taken seriously and addressed through proper investigation and oversight.
Please publicly oppose unauthorized military action against Iran and support efforts that prevent the United States from entering another war while ensuring accountability when civilians are harmed.
Thank you for representing your constituents and considering my concerns on this urgent matter.
