The ongoing violence and human rights violations against Palestinians in Gaza are deeply concerning. The United States government continues to provide arms and military aid to Israel, in violation of laws prohibiting such support for regimes engaged in genocide and war crimes. Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced six Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (S.J.Res.111 to S.J.Res.116) aimed at blocking the delivery of U.S. weapons to Israel that have been used to perpetrate atrocities against civilians. This is a meaningful step towards accountability. As your constituent, I urge you to cosponsor and vote for these resolutions without delay. The unrelenting bombardment of Gaza, made possible by American munitions and funding, cannot be allowed to continue. Upholding human rights and the rule of law must take precedence over military interests. Support for S.J.Res.111-116 demonstrates a commitment to peace, justice, and the protection of innocent lives. Failing to act implicates our nation in these unconscionable acts. I call on you to show moral leadership by backing Senator Sanders' efforts to stop arming human rights abusers. The world is watching, and future generations will judge our actions during this crisis.
