I'm writing from Tualatin to urge you to co-sponsor and pass legislation banning stock ownership by members of Congress. Regardless of political affiliation, 86% of Americans support such a ban, and both the HONEST (Halting Ownership and Non-Ethical Stock Transactions) Act (S. 1498) and the Restore Trust in Congress Act (H.R. 5106 /S. 3649) have strong bipartisan support. Please pass this legislation and put an end to Congress profiting from privileged information. Thank you and your staff for your continuing good work!
