Every Democrat in that room should have stood up and disrupted that speech. Did you even have the courage to hold a ping-pong paddle? Wear pink? All of you should’ve been shouting intern at the top of your lungs. Every Democrat should’ve been escorted out by the sergeant at arms. There should be hundreds of hearings on censure. This is what I’m demanding of you. This is what all of your constituents want of you. We want courage. Donald Trump and his stooges are dismantling the federal government, perpetuating ethnic cleansing of trans and undocumented people, and pushing Europe and Russia into World War 3. It is completely clear that you are not adequate to the task of opposing him. Lead, disrupt, and force, literally force change, or retire in disgrace in favor of someone who will.
