Please sponsor a practical legislative package addressing the everyday security of families in the Peoria and Dunlap area. Our communities need affordable health care, adequate mental-health treatment, attainable housing, dependable schools, modern infrastructure, thriving small businesses, productive farms, and protection of our soil and water. I ask you to support increased housing supply, rural and regional health-care access, affordable childcare, career and technical education, disability and caregiver services, stronger enforcement against consumer fraud and wage theft, and grants that help small farms and businesses compete without favoring large corporations. Illinois should also require greater transparency in contracts, lobbying, campaign funding, economic-development incentives, and the financial interests of senior officials. Taxpayers deserve to know who benefits from public spending and what measurable results were produced. Please tell constituents which proposals you will sponsor, which committees must consider them, and what bipartisan support is needed to move them forward.
