I did a little reading today. Turns out 58 countries have universal healthcare. Including 32 of the 33 first-world nations on earth. The one holdout is the Republican Party. One man to another, I don’t understand you. I like to solve problems for people. Universal healthcare isn’t on your radars and there’s not a good reason why. Do you need help solving for it? I’ll help. I’ll support tariffs and a corporate tax rate that balances the budget annually. Numbers don’t lie. No tax on individuals first $250k. Low tax on individual wage income people work for that is over $250k. Higher tax on dividends and distributions, etc. people earn through investing that is over $250k. End or tighten 1031 exchanges to realize tax revenue in income from sales. Fewer sales means less inflation in real estate. Which inflates all sectors. When rents rise the commercial tenants have to earn/charge more. It’s become rapid and unsustainable. Please realize The Republican mentality has become manic. It’s not healthy, many need mental healthcare. This is for all of us. Less invading Greenland and bombing Iran, more universal healthcare and fair tax code. Less ballrooms and monuments, more balancing the budget. My rent is $2k/month If I buy the house my payment is $3500. I can’t afford to buy anymore and I make a good living. There are a lot of people in good positions. They already owned property before inflation. Eventually all the younger buyers will be only people who receive help or inherited property. I could buy a house for $70k back in 2001 when I was young. Today the same house is 4x. Salaries are not 4x, barely 2x. Getting serious about balancing the budget and healthcare are probably the most important things you could do. Much more important than starting wars.
