Congratulations. Now let’s get working on actually meeting boldness with boldness. I will not live in a society with a multitier justice system.  My top priority is for you to hold corrupt government officials (both Republican and Democrat) to account.  Prosecute officials who have violated the constitution.   Rich and powerful criminals must face the same consequences as poor and powerless criminals. Secondly,  Restore checks and balances.  Turns out the constitution is still the best legal basis we have. Let’s follow it again. Thirdly, Hold ICE officers to the same standards we hold police, and punish the ones who have violated those standards already.   And then go farther and make sure police uphold their responsibility to protect the public, all of the public, not just the people they happen to like. Fourth, reform immigration.  I don’t really care if we have limits or not.   But I can concede that we should have some.   In any case, our immigration system does not work, and the rules are capricious and unfair.   Immigrants create economic value in our society.   They deserve fair wages.  They deserve opportunities.  We need them.   Figure it out. Finally, Income inequality and corruption correlate strongly, over many, many years and many, many  societies.  Reduce income inequality because it is bad in and of itself.  As long as we have extreme inequality we will have excess corruption. The only way we move back to actual democracy (which I happen to like) is in populist policies that are true to the ideals that all persons are created equal.
