At a time when Americans are facing real challenges — from education and healthcare to infrastructure and community safety — using taxpayer dollars for projects that appear symbolic or political raises serious questions about priorities and fiscal responsibility. I urge you to provide transparency on this proposal and to ensure that federal funds are directed toward essential public needs that benefit the American people broadly.
