I am writing as a constituent to urge you to reconsider your continued support for policies that expand authoritarian power and concentrate wealth upward, while undermining democracy and equal justice under the law.
Specifically, I ask you to support the defunding and restructuring of ICE. As it currently operates, ICE has become a tool of intimidation and political enforcement rather than a narrowly tailored agency focused on genuine public safety. Mass detention, lack of accountability, and disregard for due process are incompatible with constitutional democracy.
I also urge you to reject authoritarian rule in all its forms. Democracy depends on the peaceful transfer of power, respect for elections, an independent judiciary, and equal application of the law. When government power is used to punish political opponents or shield allies, we move away from the republic our Constitution created.
At the same time, Congress must end “socialism for the rich.” Massive wealth transfers to billionaires and large corporations—through special tax breaks, bailouts, regulatory capture, and government favoritism—distort markets and erode public trust. A truly conservative and democratic system does not privatize gains while socializing losses.
I want a government that works for working families, small businesses, and future generations—not one that concentrates power and wealth in the hands of a few while demanding sacrifice from everyone else.
I urge you to stand for democracy, constitutional limits on power, and economic fairness—values that should transcend party and ideology.
