Under President Trump, our country is being driven into economic chaos and democratic decay, and Congress is standing by as if this is normal. It is not. It is dangerous.
By your own data and administration metrics, trade insecurity has exploded—by as much as 94%. Supply chains are unstable, costs are soaring, and working Americans are paying the price. Rent is unaffordable. Medical care is out of reach. Grocery bills are crushing families who are already stretched to the breaking point. People are working full time and still falling behind. This is not a thriving economy—it is a manufactured crisis.
Meanwhile, the President continues to act recklessly, destabilizing trade relationships, antagonizing allies, and governing through chaos and threats instead of competence and law. This is not “strong leadership.” It is gross mismanagement, and it is hurting real people every single day.
Congress is not a decorative body. You are not there to issue carefully worded statements while Americans suffer. You are a co-equal branch of government with both the authority and the obligation to act as a check on a President who is clearly failing the public.
Use your oversight powers. Pass corrective legislation. Block destructive policies. Defend economic stability and the basic dignity of the people you represent. If you will not act now—when Americans cannot afford housing, food, or health care—then when exactly do you plan to step in?
History will not be kind to lawmakers who watched this unfold and chose silence, cowardice, or political convenience over action. The American people are not asking for theatrics. We are demanding accountability, competence, and immediate intervention.
This insanity must stop. Act like the Constitution expects you to.
