Accountability for unlawful act in Venezuela

To: Sen. Hickenlooper, Rep. DeGette, Sen. Bennet

From: A verified voter in Denver, CO

January 3

The military action taken last night against Venezuela is not only unjust, but it is also an affront to the rule of law. Unless I am mistaken, Congress has not sanctioned this action. We are now living under a “leader” who has unilaterally decided that they are above the law and processes of the United States of America. Trump and his regime have elevated themselves to a level that they think is free of checks and balances. It is time to take action and to demand accountability and justice for the criminal act perpetrated by this administration. The American people are sick and tired of this “accountability for thee, but not for me,” method of leadership. Do. Something. Please, for the love of this country. Our democracy is slipping through our fingers with every criminal act committed by this president.
