End unconstitutional deportations without due process - protect civil liberties

To: Rep. Reschenthaler, Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A verified voter in Crabtree, PA

April 7

The Trump administration's use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan immigrants without due process is a blatant violation of constitutional rights. Circumventing court orders and deporting individuals to another country's prison system, where they have no recourse, sets a dangerous precedent that threatens the civil liberties of all people in the United States, citizens and non-citizens alike. This unconstitutional overreach undermines the foundations of our justice system and the separation of powers. We must hold the administration accountable for defying federal court orders and unlawfully detaining innocent people based solely on their immigration status or appearance. Failure to address this crisis jeopardizes the fundamental rights we all value as Americans. Immediate action must be taken to investigate these deportations, ensure due process is provided to all detainees, and reaffirm the authority of the judicial branch as a check on executive power. Do your job instead of pretending to in front of cameras and cleverly worded form letters.
