This isn't a normal business transaction. It's a politically motivated consolidation of media power designed to give one administration leverage over news coverage. The antitrust concerns are real. Combining CBS News with CNN, merging HBO Max with Paramount+, and consolidating linear network portfolios creates dangerous market concentration. Warner Bros. Discovery already controls massive entertainment and news assets. Adding Paramount's empire would eliminate competition and reduce consumer choice.
