Demand Full Investigation and Transparency on Epstein Documents

To: Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Dean, Sen. McCormick

From: A constituent in Audubon, PA

February 11

I am writing to demand a thorough and independent investigation into the recently released Epstein documents, particularly those involving President Trump. The Department of Justice's conclusion that there are no grounds for new prosecutions is deeply troubling given the volume and nature of evidence that has emerged. Trump's name appeared more than 6,000 times in the released documents. A 2011 email from Jeffrey Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell specifically referenced Trump, stating "I want you to realize that that dog that hasn't barked is Trump. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him,, he has never once been mentioned." This correspondence suggests a deliberate effort to shield Trump from scrutiny. The Justice Department's decision to temporarily remove FBI tips from 2016 containing allegations against Trump from their website raises serious questions about whether political considerations are influencing this investigation. Epstein victim Lisa Phillips has identified three critical violations in the DOJ's handling of this matter: many documents remain undisclosed, the mandated release date has passed, and survivors' names were released without permission. These failures demonstrate that the review mandated by Congress in November has not been conducted with the transparency and thoroughness that justice demands. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democrats are rightfully questioning whether all documents mentioning Trump have been released and demanding access to unredacted files. An independent investigation, free from political interference, is essential to determine the full extent of Trump's relationship with Epstein and whether any criminal conduct occurred. I urge you to support legislation establishing an independent commission with subpoena power to investigate all individuals connected to Epstein's sex-trafficking operation, regardless of their current position or political affiliation. Survivors deserve accountability, and the American people deserve to know the truth about anyone who enabled or participated in these crimes.
