I live on Whidbey Island and every in-person visit to a medical provider means a ferry ride, expenses, and a certain level of mobility. Telemedicine visits were a godsend for my wife and for me. We could stay in touch with providers as needed. Island and rural patients are seriously disadvantaged when these visits are not covered by Medicare. Please require Medicare to restore coverage of tele-visits. When this time- and money-saving technology is available, it is clear discrimination to deny it to those who benefit most from it — the elderly and the disabled. This is an unnecessary cruelty. Please make them restore access.
