I'm writing to express deep concern about ICE expansion and federal overreach. In 2025, ICE received $75 billion (more than the previous 8 years combined) while cutting training from 5 months to 6-8 weeks and hiring 12,000 new officers. This rapid, under-trained expansion is dangerous for any armed law enforcement agency. We're seeing intimidation of protesters and people of color, with non-white citizens detained. Demanding papers based on appearance is un-American. DHS data shows 73% of those arrested have no criminal history - people targeted by race, not public safety. I'm ashamed of my tax dollars fund this. I urge you to: • Return ICE funding to 2024 levels ($10B) • Hold officials accountable for unconstitutional actions • Require full training standards
