I'm writing to draw your attention to the horrific case of Maryam Tahmasebi and her family, who have spent months separated in two different ICE detentio n centers in Texas. Both are hardworking educators with legal status and green cards. They have a high-school age son, also in detention. They have not committed a single crime, ever. Not even a traffic ticket. They were apprehended because Maryam's husband's GRANDMOTHER was a translator for the Iranians who held Americans hostage in 1979. Before Maryam's husband was even BORN. This is generational justice, and it's immoral, un-Christian, and un-American. The family's mental and physical well-being is being destroyed by their utterly unjust and inhumane incarceration. Please take up their case publicly and vocally. I'm providing this link to the article in The Nation that alerted me to their plight. https://www.thenation.com/article/society/maryam-tahmasebi-iran-ice-essay/ Free Maryam Tahmasebi and her family from ICE's concentration camps!
