I’m unable to join the protests across our great State today as I support our PUBLIC SCHOOL students at musical events across the state.
But I couldn’t miss the opportunity to remind you that most Americans are appalled by the illegal and destructive dismantling of the Federal Government, many desperately needed agencies and ruination of our economy that was booming less than 3 months ago. All of the horrors over the last 75 days make me want to cry.
I’ve consoled friends whose spouses have dedicated their life to civil service discuss if they can support their family if their spouse’s position is eliminated at the whim of a billionaire.
I’ve talked to my kids about supporting their friends who have darker skin tones, if they are afraid of of ICE and the current administration’s disregard for due process.
And while I’m not marching today, I stand in solidarity with every single person who is. I wish I was there in person, but you’ll have to do with this short letter.
Please. Stand up, speak out, and most of all - TAKE ACTION. Trump’s agenda is stripping you of your Consitutionally given powers to hold him in check. Don’t let him.
